Fall/Winter Hair Trends 2021

We are officially in the Fall season! Ok maybe not in Southern California but according to the calendar it’s Fall.

As the weather changes the fashion changes. The change doesn’t have to always be dramatic to update your look for a new season. Blondes don’t have to go full on brunette and you don’t have to commit to a blunt short fringe. I’m all about a happy medium. Blondes, consider a rich golden low light and depth at your roots. Brunettes, add shades of cinnamon and dark chocolate. Have fun!

There are some fun new trends and some that are here to stay

The Golden Babe

White, silver, mother of dragons blonde is out! Soft golden baby blondes, depth and lowlights are in. Adding lowlights and a shadow root is my favorite way to add a little something different to my blondes. The contrast makes those highlights pop and it’s not a big commitment if you decide to scratch it for your next appointment. You can also glaze your blonde to give a shimmery, champagne look to your color.

Fringe is in!

Bangs bangs and more bangs! We have been hearing the term “curtain bangs” for a minute now. But it’s not just curtain bangs that are in. Straight across, cheek framing, short and textured. All bangs are in. If you have been debating trying a bang now is your time.

Face Framing Layers & highlights

I’ve been hearing rumors of “the Rachel” don’t worry we’re not talking about the early Rachel. The soft face framing layers are back. The bold pop around the face or “money piece” is still going strong and so flattering in my opinion.

Bob & Shags

The bob is here to stay. A French bobbie with bangs, blunt bob, curly bob. It’s all in. I think we know I’m a fan and it’s one of my favorite haircuts to do.

Rich Brunettes

Beautiful brown tones ares in!

Invisible Layers

What the heck is that? It’s basically soft, long layers without being overdone. It creates a more one length look but has movement throughout. This can be done at any length. I do this a lot with my blunt cut bobs
